From anywhere in the city, visitors can admire Rio’s most iconic postcard: Christ the Redeemer atop Mount Corcovado. The tour begins in the neighborhood of Cosme Velho, where you board the famous Corcovado Train or tourism vans, which travel through Tijuca Forest with beautiful panoramic views of the world’s largest urban rainforest.

From the foot of the statue, visitors can enjoy the city’s most stunning panoramic views, including Guanabara Bay and the beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema. After visiting Christ the Redeemer, the descent is made by train or van to the original boarding point.

This part of the tour covers downtown Rio de Janeiro, including the Sambadrome, the Metropolitan Cathedral, and the State Assembly building.

The visit to Sugarloaf Mountain is done in two stages by cable car. The first cable car connects Praia Vermelha to Urca Hill. From Urca Hill, the second cable car continues up to Sugarloaf Mountain, offering a unique view of Copacabana Beach, Santa Cruz Fortress, and several beaches in Niterói.
