We depart from Bariloche heading East to the end of Nahuel Huapi Lake, where the Limay River originates. From there, we begin to skirt the northern shore of the lake. At first, the road travels through a steppe area, home to large estancias (ranches).
Then, upon reaching the Huemul Arm, the Cypress Forest begins to appear, slowly giving way to the lush, humid Coihue forest. Leaving the Huemul Arm behind, the beautiful view of Manzano Bay appears, and we finally arrive at Villa La Angostura. During the tour, we will visit the port, the El Mesidor Residence, the Selva Triste Lagoon, and the "La Asunción" Chapel.
Approximately 10 km from the village, we reach Cerro Bayo, the local Ski Center. Here, chairlifts are available to take you to the top of the mountain, where you can capture excellent photos of the landscape and enjoy various activities such as sledding (culipatín), or take ski or snowboard lessons.
